What is a Customer Service Point (CSP)?
A Customer Service Point (CSP) — also known as a Bank Mitra or Banking Correspondent — is an authorised mini banking outlet run by an individual on behalf of a bank. It brings everyday banking to neighbourhoods and villages where full branches are limited.
As a CSP operator you help people open accounts, deposit and withdraw cash, transfer money and enrol in government schemes — all from your own shop — while earning a commission on each service.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Bank CSP (Customer Service Point)?
A Customer Service Point (CSP), also called Bank Mitra or Banking Correspondent, is an authorised mini banking outlet operated by an individual on behalf of a bank. It offers basic banking services — account opening, deposits, withdrawals, money transfer and government scheme enrolment — in areas where full bank branches are limited.
Who can apply for a CSP / Bank Mitra?
Any Indian citizen aged 18 or above who is at least 10th/12th pass, has basic computer knowledge, and can arrange a small shop or space with a computer, internet and biometric device can apply. Final eligibility is decided by the respective bank or its Corporate Business Correspondent.
How much can a CSP operator earn?
Income is commission-based and depends on the number and type of transactions you process (deposits, withdrawals, account opening, money transfer, etc.). Earnings grow as your customer base grows. We do not guarantee any fixed income.
What is needed to start a CSP outlet?
Typically a computer or laptop, a printer, a stable internet connection, a biometric/fingerprint scanner, and a small shop or 100–200 sq. ft. space in a suitable location, along with your Aadhaar, PAN and a bank account.
Is CSP Apply a bank?
No. CSP Apply is an independent facilitation and information service. We are not a bank and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or owned by any bank, the RBI or NPCI. We only help you understand the CSP model and submit your application; final selection rests solely with the bank or its authorised Corporate BC.
How long does CSP approval take?
It varies by bank and Corporate BC and depends on document verification and background checks. After you submit the form, our team will contact you with the next steps and an indicative timeline.
Ready to start your own banking outlet?
